Why aren’t you accepting book manuscript submissions?
Red Bike Press is currently in the process of publishing its first several book titles, which will debut in late 2018.
From the beginning, when we first decided to create and develop our imprint, we wanted to establish our own niche and be selective about the books we publish.
At this time, we simply do not have the staff or resources to publish more than a handful of books each year, and to be honest, we like it that way. We want to give each of our books the time and effort it deserves. It is important to us that we are proud of books bearing the Red Bike Press imprint.
Currently, we are busy resurrecting out-of-print books. Plans are also in the works to publish a regional arts magazine for California’s Central Coast, as well as a literary magazine.
In the future, when we are ready to accept new manuscripts for publishing consideration, we will be prepared to provide our authors with everything they deserve from a publisher. In the meantime, our plan is to support new fiction through upcoming short fiction contests and our soon-to-debut literary magazine, Red Bike Review.
